Material: wood, Sculpture
12 x 24 cm
A unique "wild" sculpture made from an 150-year-old apple tree that was growing close to a cabin on an altitude of 1500 meters. Because of the tough climate, the tree has been growing very slowly and were both gnarled and twisted.
The hard life of this tree is being kept in this thinly turned untreated sculpture, where knots and bark are accentuated. Since this sculpture was turned in fresh and moist wood, it finally shaped through a carefully monitored drying period.
