Galleri Thomas Wallner

Galleri Thomas Wallner was founded 1974 in Malmö, in the south of Sweden. The gallery soon emerged as one of the major galleries for the contemporary art scene in Sweden. It gained a reputation as one of the most interesting galleries focusing on young artists from Scandinavia, Europe and the US.

The gallery has taken part in international art fairs in Amsterdam, Berlin, Cologne, Frankfurt, London and Stockholm.

In 2010, Thomas Wallner bought a dairy together with his partner, Gun-Lis Falkman, in the town of Simris in the heart of Österlen. The gallery now has access to fantastic spaces in which to exhibit, the total area of which adds up to 350 square meters.

Kivik Art Center

Kivik Art Center is located in the mountain valley at Lilla Stenshuvud, just south of Kivik in Österlen Skåne. The ambition is high at Kivik Art Center as they want to create an institution that does not resemble any existing one. The ambition is based on the idea of ​​the place as a creative meeting point for architecture, art and nature interested people. They present a sculpture park that works in the interface between nature, architeture, and sculpture.

Wanås Foundation


This spectacular place for contemporary art is built on an organic farm in the countryside of Skåne. The permanent collection of about 70 works of art is installed in a lush sculpture park. It is open all year round. There is also an indoor gallery, a café and a shop.

Ystad Art Museum

Ystad Art Museum was built in 1936 and consists of a rocky brick building with large bright halls. From the beginning, Ystad Art Museum has focused on Southern Swedish and Danish art but today offers a more varied exhibition program.

Tjörnedala Konsthall


Tjörnedala Konsthall is run by Östra Skåne's artist group and was founded in 1974 and is an association for active artists living in Kristianstad, Ystad, Sjöbo, Tomelilla, Simrishamn. An average of 8 exhibitions are held annually at the art space, where both invited artists from mainly the Nordic countries and members from the association participate.
