This exhibit is named "Let me tell you a story" because the work of many artists nowadays tells us about, describes or questions the world. This can shed light on things that happen on a daily basis and put them into proper context and in doing so the world becomes more understandable.
Stories can be used to tell of who we are and what we think of. They open a window onto the impossible: everything that could happen in the future or should have happened in the past, if only….
The common factor connecting the artists contributing to this exhibition is that they all work with storytelling in their art. Some of them work with storytelling using cartoons, others use pictorial suites, film, sculpture, painting or textiles. They tell of the day-to-day around us, politics that form our society, our history, life, death and love. The artists displayed here come from Copenhagen in the south to Övre Soppero within the Arctic Circle in the north.
