Katrin Westman
Katrin Westman examines the boundaries of abstract painting and shows the constant timeliness of classical genre. She uses fast brushstrokes to paint the volumetric «bodies» which move in and out, over- and underlay each other, squeeze and wrap around the surface. With the time, the origin of the things does not really matter. Her paintings are about fear and freedom, debating the readiness to fail by meeting the fears.
