Blanck’s fifth show with the gallery consists of a number of oil paintings and watercolour collages on stretched paper. This artist, primarily associated with intimate studies of friends and family, in watercolour and paper collages, has in this new series of work switched focus from strict portraiture to the surrounding landscape. Even so, the sunny beaches and wintery scenes are occupied by people, showing the artist’s strong attachment to his friends and family. The show gives a glimpse of the artist’s everyday life surrounded by the people he cares about.
