Roger Risberg (1956 - 2011) appears as something of a peculiarity in Swedish contemporary art. His imagery is simplified and naive, looking away from proportions, space formatting and other things that make the image realistic. Always straight and direct with a compelling authenticity. Often, the underlying meaning make the images complex and multifarious without clear answers. Risberg is today best known for his energy-intensive interpretations on people, animals and everyday feelings.
