At the heart of this show is Matador, a large scale video work shot underwater. Friberg, born in 1966, is a Swedish photographer and video artist who, since the beginnings of her career in the 1990s, has centered her work around themes of power, masculinity and our relationship to nature. This show, put together in collaboration with Andersson/Sandström Gallery, is a lavish display of her work and a brilliant opportunity to get to know one of today’s widely celebrated artists.
