David Svensson

David Svensson was born in 1973 in Skillingaryd/Sweden. He lives and works in Malmö. He graduated from Malmö Art Academy and studied at The Royal Institute of Art in Stockholm, the Oslo Art Academy as well as at the Academy of Design and Crafts in Gothenburg. Svensson participated in both solo- and group exhibitions at Galleri Fagerstedt, Artipelag, Kristianstad Konsthall, the Museum of Modern Art in Stockholm, Krannert Art Museum, USA and at Niroxprojects in Johannesburg, South Africa, among others. Svensson is furthermore represented by The Public Art Agency Sweden, the Arts Council Norway, the Nirox Foundation in South Africa and the Chartwell Collection in Auckland/New Zealand, among others. Svensson is well known for is public art works. His latest public art work "Life Line" will be installed in the new Stockholm City Line, opening in 2017. In his artistic practice David Svensson is working with sculpture, painting, installation and collage.
